Parliament starts discussion of state budget package for 2015

According to agenda of the meeting, state budget package for 2015 will put up for discussions at the plenary meeting from today.

The budget package includes the laws “On the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015”, “On the minimum subsistence in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015”, “On the level of need criteria in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015”, “On the budget of the State Social Protection Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015”, as well as expenditure estimates of the Azerbaijani Parliament and the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015. Moreover, the draft laws on expenditure estimates of the Azerbaijani Parliament and the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, confirmation of the MoU between Azerbaijani government and OSCE on “OSCE Project coordinator in Baku” will be discussed at the meeting.

Asadov noted that the state budget for 2015 has been developed by taking “real events” into account and the draft document has been discussed at the relevant committees of the parliament.

“Revenues of state budget for 2015 are forecasted to be AZN 19,438,000,000, up AZN 1,054,000,000 or 5.7% from 2014, the expenditures to be AZN 21,100,000,000, up AZN 1.,037,000,000 or 5.2% from current year”, he said.

Ziyad Samadzadeh noted that today, economic and political tension prevail in the world: “Azerbaijan’s successes during past decade is so significant, which other countries did not achieve them. Azerbaijan gained achievements in economy and strengthen its international image year-on-year. State budget package meets requirements of legislation. The budget package has been discussed at the economic policy committee”.
