Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway lne will be launched this year, said the Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci, APA-Economics reports quoting Stargundem.com website.
“Along with the development of trade between Azerbaijan and Turkey, in order to extend economic relations between Turkey and Georgia economic ministers of all three countries will meet on March 6. Our goal is to make Caspian Sea friendship and transport sea”, he said.
Zeybekci said the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey must reach $15 bln.
“We have TANAP. 80% of pipes to be used in the construction of the project will be produced by Turkish companies. Therefore, it’s needed to facilitate trade. We are trying to facilitate trade between the two countries in agricultural sphere. Our experts have already met three times. We intend to complete these works by the year end”, he said.
He also noted that visa regime for businessmen and citizens should be simplified for extension of economic-commercial links.
According to Turkish press, Zeybekci has already met with Azerbaijani first deputy prime minister Abid Sharifov. The meeting was closed for press.
