Minister Samir Sharifov to attend G20 finance ministers and central bank governors meeting

Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. Istanbul will host the meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors on February 9-10.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov was also invited to the meeting, the Finance Ministry told APA-Economics.

The purpose of the meeting is to prepare for the G20 Summit to be held in November. The meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors will focus on global economy, lasting and balanced development, international financial architecture, financial regulation, etc. In addition, the participants will exchange views on different economic growths in developed countries, as well as Europe’s lagging behind in comparison with the noticeable growth in the US, and define further joint steps.

Azerbaijan, as a guest country, will participate in the G20 Summit to be held under Turkey’s presidency.
