Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Western sanctions on Russia affected activity of banks, Senior Vice-President of OJSC VTB Bank, Head of the Subsidiaries and Affiliates Department Mikhail Yakunin told APA-Economics.
According to him, of course, the sanctions also affected VTB Group. Therefore, Bank VTB intends to strengthen its future activity among the CIS countries.
“Bank’s assets quintupled during past two years. Bank is developing successfully. It was achieved thanks to our partners and successful cooperation with them”, he said.
Yakunin stressed that Bank VTB Azerbaijan also has a close cooperation with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Yakunin noted that the main goal is to be independent and set own accounting systems.
