Loans given by Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) in rouble exceed RR 1 bln

Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. As of December 1, 2014, the loans given by Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) in rouble exceeded RR 1 bln.

Bank says of this, 78% or RR 795 mln made consumption loans. 10% or RR 78 mln of consumption loans was car loans. At the same time, RR166.5 mln was given to corporate customers, RR 50 mln to financing of small and medium business.

Usage of lending in rouble is a new direction in Bank VTB Azerbaijan’s activity and was applied in August, 2014.

“This is sufficient interesting and suitable direction for corporate and retail business. Many companies establishing commercial relations with Russia-based partners get benefit in rouble. These companies are ready to sign contracts on the basis of rouble in order to prevent risks and difficulties arisen from signing of agreements. Regarding Russian side, currency control procedure during implementation of payments in rouble is facilitated and the payments are implemented rapidly”, Chairman of Management Board of the Bank Yuri Yakovlev said.
