Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. The International Bank of Azerbaijan together with AzeriCard Processing Center and MasterCard international payment system has presented Mobil Payments service for MasterCard holders, APA-Economics reports.
At the presentation ceremony it was said that with this system card holders can choose the menu of MobilBank service and make safe payments from their mobile phones.
The major advantages of the service are that it is safe and comfortable, PIN code is not entered, checks are not signed.
It will be first applied at World Telecom stores, later its coverage will be enhanced, other retailers will join this service.
MasterCard system manager for Azerbaijan Hakan Acar said this service makes it available for the card holders to make payments using mobile phones.
“We are pleased to cooperate with the first and biggest processing center of Azerbaijan and intend to continue the role we are playing in the development of new technologies,” he said.
Director of IBA Retail Business Department Elmir Habibullayev said the International Bank of Azerbaijan always applies innovations and underlined that the new service will improve cashless payments in the country.
