Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. General Manager of Ziraat Bank Hüseyin Aydınhas clarified the plan on establishment of Daughter Company in Azerbaijan.
APA-Economics reports quoting Hurriyet newspaper that H. Aydin said it was reached an agreement on selling shares in Azer-Turk Bank to Azerbaijani side.
“we hade 50%-share n Azer-Turk Bank. After Middle Asian countries gained independence, the head of the bank Cosgun Ulusoy had established banks in these countries. We have a bank with 100%-share in Kazakhstan. We have 50%-share in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan-based bank has technological difficulties. The market is good and it’s needed to develop. However, we had not good growth rate. We negotiated about joint development, but could not agree. We said buy it or we’ll buy. Thereafter, we reached an agreement that they buy bank and grant license to us”.
