According to APA-Economics, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev noted that Azerbaijan and Russia are cooperating in all spheres at a high level.
According to him, Azerbaijan is cooperating with Russia in agriculture, industry, petro-chemical spheres. Over 160 cooperation agreements have been signed so far. 40 of them are in economy.
The Minister said that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia makes $2.6 bln. Azerbaijan is the third country for Russia for export, first country for import.
He stressed that Azerbaijan invested over $1 bln in Russia during recent years: “State Oil Company invests capital in Russia. Azerbaijan extends cooperation with Russia’s regions. Azerbaijan has signed bilateral contracts with Russia’s 15 regions covering different spheres”.
Mustafayev noted that over 100 students are studying in Russia.
Within the forum to be held on June 23-24, a plenary meeting, round tables on different spheres of the economy are planned to be held with the participation of officials and business circles.
Representatives of state bodies, parliaments, executive authorities of Azerbaijan and Russia, entrepreneurs operating in various sectors of economy and media are attending the forum.
Documents will be signed between Azerbaijan and Russia at the end of the forum’s final plenary meeting.
