Express Bank gets 20% rise in assets year-on-year

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based Express Bank’s assets stood at AZN 256.211 mln, up 20.3% from previous year.

Bank says loan portfolio rose 37.6% to AZN 166.497 mln, as well as consumer lending made AZN 42.385 mln, up 67.6% from 2012.

Deposit portfolio surged 14.4% to AZN 125.775 mln, including personal savings were equal to AZN 36.520 mln, up 35.2% from a year earlier.

Total capital rose 24.6% to AZN 124.344 mln, as well as authorized capital soared 16.4% to AZN 101.707 mln.

Number of clients increased by 15.1% to 55,806, as well as individuals – by 14.7% to 55,320, juridical persons – by 53.1% to 487. Number of plastic cards made 27,811, down 0.7% in annual comparison. Debit cards dropped 2.6% to 26,551, credit cards grew 63.4% to 1,260.

The bank operates 15 branches, 66 ATMs and 263 POS-terminals across the country.
