Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. “Today, the capitalization level of the banks in the country makes 18%”, said the Chairman of Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov in the discussion of state budget package for 2015 at teh plenary meeting of Azerbaijani Parliament.
Rustamov says bank capital has changed to most active increasing part of funds of financial institutions since a decision on increase of minimum capital to AZN 50 mln was passed in 2012. In other word, the capital of banks has increased 1.8 times to 83% of assets since 2012.
“Currently, the banks, covering about 90% of their assets, obey this quota. According to our forecast, this index will reach 99%. We’ll individually work wit several banks having problem. However, the main issue thath we focus on is personal savings. Banks can not restructured through damaging of personal savings. We have sufficient quickness in this issue”, CB chairman said.
