E-trade on foreign currencies on BICEX declines 23%

Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. According to outcomes of October, 2014, 4 banks participated in the auctions held at currency department of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX).

APA-Economics reports that 13 deals were closed at 42 trading sessions held on the BEST (Bourse E-system of Trades).

The total volume of the trades on USD/AZN instrument amounted to $52.273 million or AZN 40.998 mln.

Compared to September, the volume of currency sector fell AZN 12.321 mln or 23%.

Average daily turnover on BEST USD/AZN was $ 2.489 mln., while the value per deal made $ 4.021 million on average.

Exchange rate of manat against USD on USD/AZN_TOD instrument remained unchanged at AZN 0.7829. Average exchange rate of national currency against USD made AZN 0.7843 in October.

In the interbank credit market functioning in the framework of BEST, BakiBOR index counted in line with requests made by market makers constituted 10.71% in manats and 10.74% in USD on 90-day instrument.
