Demrbank gets 66% rise in consumer lending

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based Demirbank’s assets stood at AZN 378.002 mln, up 1.6% from previous year.

 

Bank says the loan portfolio rose 3.5% to AZN 294.931 mln, as well as consumer lending made AZN 151.809 mln, up 65.9% from 2012. At the same time, overdue credits dropped 11.9% to AZN 12.625 mln and made 4.3% of total loan portfolio.

 

Deposit portfolio grew 17.7% to AZN 173.841 mln, including personal savings were equal to AZN 156.830 mln, up 13.5% in comparison to a year ago.

 

Total capital rose 4.0% to 57.811 mln, as well as authorized capital remained unchanged at AZN 21.0 mln.

 

Number of total clients increased by 43.5% to 44,162, including individuals rose 45.5% to 43,186, juridical persons soared 15.7% to 976. Bank’s plastic cards made 27,829, up 0.7% by contrast to 2012. Debit cards surged 3.4% to 21,331 and credit cards fell 7.1% to 6,498.

 

Currently, the bank operates 32 branches, 59 ATMs and 1,270 POS-terminals across the country.
