BICEX turnover declines in November

Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. In November, 2014, the volume of e-trade on foreign currencies at Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BICEX) made AZN 38,589 mln.

BICEX told APA-Economics that 7 banks participated in the auctions on USD/AZN_TOD instrument held at BICEX’s currency department.

23 deals were closed at 38 trading sessions held on the BEST (Bourse E-system of Trades). The auctions made AZN 38,589 mln or $49,195 mln.

Compared to October, the volume of currency sector declined AZN 2,409 mln or 6%.

Average daily turnover on BEST USD/AZN was $ 2,589 mln., while the value per deal made $ 2,139 million on average.

Exchange rate of manat against USD on USD/AZN_TOD instrument remained unchanged at AZN 0.7829. Average exchange rate of national currency against USD made AZN 0.7844 in November.

In the interbank credit market functioning in the framework of BEST, BakiBOR index counted in line with requests made by market makers constituted 9.81% in manats and 9.92% in USD on 90-day instrument.
