Azerbaijani, Russian customs authorities sign three documents

A. Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan and Russia have a long history of cooperation in customs sphere. The Committee Chairman emphasized the high level of cooperation between the two countries.

Belyaninov said Russia attaches great importance to regional cooperation and intends to cooperate more closely with the neighboring countries.

He said that both sides should be concerned that infrastructure didn’t develop at some border checkpoints. “Infrastructure’s not developing affects bilateral trade turnover. We want to increase a trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia. Our main goal is to achieve easy crossing of perishable goods at border checkpoints,” he added.

Three documents were signed at the end of the meeting. The documents are about mutual services between Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee and Federal Customs Service of Russia for 2015-2016, technological scheme for the exchange of statistical information and professional development of staff.
