Azerbaijan sees decline in BSE turnover

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-ECONOMICS. The total volume of transactions for all securities traded in Baku Stock Exchange throughout 2013 was AZN 8.476 bln, down 5.8% from 2012.

According to BSE, corporative securities market rose 52.9% to AZN 1,388.4 mln. Corporate bonds primary market soared 2.5 times to AZN 152.8 mln, secondary market surged 2.3 times to AZN 791 mln. The primary market of shares slipped 13.3%, secondary market soared 34.4% during the reporting period.

Primary market of government bonds slipped 30.8% to AZN 98.1 mln, secondary market surged 42.2%% to AZN 36.6 mln. Generally, GS market declined 12.4% to AZN 7.088 bln. Compared to 2012, the CB notes primary market slid 2.9 times, secondary market – 4.8 times. At the same time repo operations fell 3.6% to AZN 6.609 mln.
