Azerbaijanâ€™s banking system sees rise in troubled loans

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based credit organizations’ provision of crediting stood at AZN 14,793.3 mln, up AZN 3,412.5 mln or 30.0% by contrast to a year earlier, AZN 2,549.6 mln or 20.8% from early 2013, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

Household credits made AZN 5,688.9 mln or 38.5% of total volume. Along with this, share of construction and property sector is 15.4%, trade and service spheres – 14.9%.

Overdue credits made AZN 795.0 mln, up AZN 37.1 mln or 4.9% in annual comparison. At the same time, share of overdue credits dropped to 5.4% from 6.7%.
