Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2014, Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ assets stood at AZN 23.506 bln, up AZN 4,586.9 mln or 24.24% from year earlier.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the assets increased by AZN 41.08 mln or 0.17% in September, 2014.
Most of assets were loans given to clients. So, such loans made AZN 16,311 mln (69.4% of total assets). Moreover, AZN 2,007.4 mln was investments, AZN 1,406.2 mln – correspondent accounts, AZN 968.4 mln – loans and deposits for financial sector, AZN 933.8 mln – cash funds and AZN 1,879.1 mln – other assets.
AZN 10,082.2 mln of liabilities were deposits, AZN 8,045.2 mln – loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 1,586.4 mln – other liabilities and AZN 3,792 mln – capital.
