Azerbaijan-based banks see 2.6 times rise in profit

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based commercial banks earned AZN 263.94 mln pre-tax profit in January-September, 2013, up AZN 160.58 mln or 2.6 times from 2012.

Interest incomes made AZN 1,193.61 mln, interest expenditures – AZN 589.1 mln and consequently, interest profit stood at AZN 589.11 mln. At the same time, non-inetrest incomes made AZN 310.86 mln, non-interest expenditures – AZN 524.81 mln, non-interest loss – AZN 213.55 mln.

Interest profit rose AZN 163.20 mln or 38.3%, non-interest loss – AZN 48.69 mln or 29.5%.
