Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2015, Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ assets stood at AZN 25.182 bln, up AZN 4.797 bln or 23.53% from year earlier.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the assets increased by AZN 475.8 mln or 1.93% in December, 2014.
Most of assets were loans given to clients. So, such loans made AZN 17,174.8 mln. Moreover, AZN 2,186.4 mln made investments, AZN 1,829.2 mln – correspondent accounts, AZN 1,018.1 mln – loans and deposits for financial sector, AZN 1,052.6 mln – cash funds and AZN 1,921.3 mln – other assets.
AZN 11,089 mln of liabilities were deposits, AZN 8,445.8 mln – loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 1,487.6 mln – other liabilities and AZN 4,160.1 mln – capital.
