Azerbaijan-based 19 insurers see decline in premiums

Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. In January-May, 2014, 9 of 28 insurers increased premiums, 19 declined, said the chairman of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.

He noted that Pasha Insurance headed the market with the premiums of AZN 31 mln. Ateshgah Life ranked second with AZN 20.2 mln. Pasha Life held the 3rd place with AZN 19.5 mln. Azersigorta ranked 4th (AZN 17.4 mln) and AzSigorta ranked 5th (AZN 15.1 mln).

The companies with the lowest premiums are Azergarant (AZN 315,000), Amrah Insurance (AZN 306,000), Era Trans (AZN 286,000), Gunay Sigorta (AZN 97,000), Chartis Azerbaijan (AZN 39,000) and Royal Sigorta (AZn 2,255).

Insurance premiums of 7 insurers made over AZN 10 mln, 4 companies AZN 5-10 mln, 11 companies AZN 1-5 mln, 6 insurers AZN up to 500,000.
