The trade turnover between two countries made $4 bln last year, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Joshgun told APA-Economics: “This is high and significant figure, but not sufficient”.

The Ambassador said that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey increased compared to 2012.

“We can see approximately 20% growth when we pay attention to the fisr figures. Azerbaijan and Turkey live their development periods. Both countries have great potentials. The main issue is development of Turkish and Azerbaijani economies supporting each other, bringing of Turkish value added to Azerbaijan and your value added t Turkey. This will support our nations to get more qualitative and cheaper products and development of both Azerbaijani and Turkish free production potentials. I think the main issue is that Azerbaijan and Turkey must direct these potentials to the third countries and cooperate in accordance with this. This will support increase of our trades too”, he said.

Turkish Diplomat mentioned that Turkey has invested $7-8 bln. It needs more propaganda to increase this figure: “Turkish investor does not avoid competition and can find own place in any market. I speak about mid-investors. We must provide this potential to be in Azerbaijan more”.
