Baku. Aynur Aliyeva - APA-Economics. President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Takehiko Nakao has today met with the President Ilham Aliyev and Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, APA-Economics reports.
ADB President said that his visit aims to familiar with the preparatory works for annual meeting of the ADB Council of Governors to be held on May 2-5, 2015 in Baku.
According to him, the event will be attended by over 3,000 participants, ministers and officials, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, scientists and other persons: “The meeting propagates development-oriented cooperation among 48 regional and 19 non-regional members. Country Partnership Strategy on Azerbaijan for 2014-2018 will help diversify the economy and develop private sector. ADB will direct its support to development of transport, energy, small and medium business, partnership between state and private sectors”.
ADB allocated $1.8 bln to the government of Azerbaijan, $143 mln to private sector till September, 2014.
