Xalg Bank gets 62% growth in assets

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based Xalg Bank’s assets stood at AZN 1,347.164 mln, up 62.0% from previous year.

Bank says the loan portfolio rose 63.1% to AZN 1,037.778 mln, a well as consumer lending stood at AZN 53.853 mln, up 54.9% by contrast to 2012. At the same time, overdue credit increased by 2.85 times to AZN 38.064 mln and its share in total loan portfolio raised 1.5 percentage point to 3.7%.

Deposit portfolio grew 79.2% to AZN 919.456 mln, as well as personal savings were equal to AZN 321.925 mln, up 11.2% from 2012.

Total capital soared 9.3% toi AZN 203.769 mln, including authorized capital surged 8.6% to AZN 183.698 mln.

Total clients rose 61.9% to 43,400, as well as individuals increased by 64.0% to 41,536, juridical persons surged 21.3% to 1,864. Number of plastic cards made 12,843, down 22.4% from 2012. Debit cards fell 30.0% to 9,976, credit cards soared 16.0% to 2,867.

The bank operates 22 branches, 38 ATMs and 76 POS-terminals across the country.
