Speaking about the draft law on “2014 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, chairman of the parliament’s committee for social policy Ziyad Samadzadeh said Azerbaijan is a leader among the CIS states for the GDP per capita.

“In the coming 4-5 years GDP will reach $100bn in Azerbaijan. Transfer from the State Oil Fund to the budget will be reduced by $2bn or by 17.2%,” he said.

The MP said the Azerbaijan’s state budget is 6 times as much as the state budget of Armenia and 5 times as much as the budget of Georgia.

“The government’s budget policy is focused on real sector. Conditions should be created for new agricultural spheres and delivery of the Azerbaijani products to the world market. More attention should be paid to the increase of employment and the creation of jobs,” he said.

Chairman of the committee said in some regions salaries are very low, they must be raised.

“We can do it,” he said.

According to the law on “2014 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, next year Azerbaijan’s budget revenues will be AZN 18,384bn, budget expenses AZN 20,063bn.
