Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ assets stood at AZN 19,400.46 mln, up AZN 4,084.77 mln or 26.7% from year earlier.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the assets have increased by AZN 2,870.05 mln or 17.4% in January-September, 2013.

Most of assets were loans given to clients. So, such loans made AZN 13,546.2 mln (69.8%). Moreover, AZN 1,589.7 mln was investments, AZN976.4 mln – correspondent accounts, AZN 795.5 mln – loans and deposits for financial sector, AZN 807.1 mln – cash funds and AZN 1,685.6 mln – other assets.
AZN 8,570.1 mln of liabilities were deposits, AZN 6,507.9 mln – loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 1,168.9 mln – other liabilities and AZN 3,153.5 mln – capital.
