Russia is stepping up strikes on Ukraine's gas and energy infrastructure ahead of winter, while the international response remains weak, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, APA reports citing RBC Ukraine.
"Unfortunately, there is no adequate global response to what is happening — to the growing scale and audacity of the attacks," the President said.
He stressed that this is precisely why Russian leader Vladimir Putin continues such actions.
"He is simply mocking the West — its silence and the lack of strong countermeasures. Russia has rejected every proposal to stop the war or even halt the strikes. It is openly trying to destroy our civilian infrastructure. And right now, ahead of winter, it is targeting gas facilities, power generation, and electricity transmission," Zelenskyy explained.
According to him, there is currently "zero real reaction" from the world.
"We will keep fighting to ensure the world does not remain silent — so that Russia feels the consequences," he added.
