The Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck the Astrakhan gas processing plant, APA reports, citing UNIAN.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian army has issued a statement.
Explosions and a fire were recorded as a result of the strike. This is stated in a post of the General Staff of the APU on Telegram.
“On the night of December 15, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck the strategic object of the enemy - the Astrakhan gas processing plant - in order to reduce the enemy’s ability to produce explosives,” the statement said.
The Astrakhan gas processing plant is one of the main enterprises of the Russian oil and gas industry.
