Ukraine needs USD 15 billion worth of U.S.-made weapons and military equipment this year, Alena Hetmanchuk, head of Ukraine’s mission to NATO, said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, APA reports.
According to her, air defense assets are especially important for Ukraine, including the Patriot and NASAMS systems. Hetmanchuk noted that there is a specific list of countries capable of providing these systems.
“We are continuing intensive work in this direction, because within the framework of the ‘PURL’ initiative, the need formed for this year amounts to USD 15 billion,” she emphasized.
