Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court has ordered the arrest of Andriy Yermak, the former head of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's office, who has been under investigation in a $100 million corruption case involving the state-owned nuclear energy company Energoatom, breakingthenews.net reports.
The court requested on Thursday that Yermak remain under pre-trial detention for 60 days, with the option of posting bail set at 140 million hryvnias ($3.2 million).
Prosecutors allege that Yermak diverted approximately $10.5 million to a luxury residential complex called Dynasty, located in Kozyn, near Kyiv. Investigators suspect that the funds used in the project may have come from acts of corruption at Energoatom.
