The UK has announced a new aid package worth £600 million to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses, APA reports, citing Sky News.
British Defense Minister John Gilliland announced this decision at the opening of the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format).
The minister described this initiative as the largest single-year investment in Ukraine's air defenses.
"In the last two months alone, 20,000 drone and missile attacks have been carried out. Therefore, we must step up our efforts. We must increase our activities to put pressure on Putin," the minister said.
According to him, the main goal is to ensure the safety of the Ukrainian population during the winter months.
