Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan answered journalists' questions on the plane while returning from Turkmenistan, APA's Türkiye Bureau reports.
He made a statement about the details of the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which lasted about 1.5 hours.
Erdogan said that they positively evaluated the dialogue initiated by Mr. Trump and discussed the contributions that Türkiye can make to peace efforts.
"We mainly exchanged views on war and peace initiatives. Mr. Putin, like all parties, knows very well Türkiye's position on this issue. After this meeting with Putin, I hope we will have the opportunity to discuss the peace plan with US President Trump. Peace is not far away, we see it," the Turkish President noted.
