European leaders are sending positive messages on Türkiye's EU accession, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at a joint press conference with Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu, APA's Türkiye Bureau reports.
The minister stressed the importance of achieving concrete results without wasting time on the issue of EU membership. According to him, this serves the interests of not only Türkiye but also European countries:
"While Europe's security architecture is being reshaped, we have advocated the importance of assessing this process in a long-term perspective. In this context, Türkiye's active participation in European internal security mechanisms is of critical importance for European security. The European Union has recently announced its Black Sea Strategy. We count on the support of Romania, which is working in close cooperation and coordination with our country in implementing this strategy."
