The Anti-Terrorism Center of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) conducted a special operation in the Adjara region, APA's local bureau reports, citing SSG.
As a result, three Georgian citizens were detained. Based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, it was determined that they were engaged in terrorist activities.
It was determined that the detainees had ties with influential leaders of the "Islamic State" terrorist organization and, on their instructions, created a group based on radical-extremist ideology for terrorist purposes.
