Hungary will never agree to the European Union imposing sanctions against the Georgian leadership, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said after a meeting in Budapest with Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, APA reports.
"We Hungarians will always support the Georgians, and we will never allow the European Union to impose sanctions against the country's leadership. Hungarians know what it's like to swim against the tide. We know what it's like to refuse to follow the liberal mainstream," the Foreign Minister said, speaking to reporters.
