A special operations police officer, Emre Albayrak, who was wounded during an anti-narcotics operation in Istanbul, has died, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
The officer was fatally shot by a 35-year-old suspect identified as R.A., who was subsequently neutralized by police.
Other individuals present in the house during the raid were detained by law enforcement.
