Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that his country is ready to discuss the issue of resuming the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory, APA reports.
“It is a fact that we have different views on gas transit. Friends must speak openly with each other. Therefore, I would like to note that Slovakia is ready to provide assistance in the field of electricity supply,” said Robert Fico during a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko in the Slovak city of Košice.
According to him, Slovakia can supply a certain amount of electricity to help stabilize Ukraine’s energy system. At the same time, Fico emphasized that the issue of gas transit still remains open.
