Slovakia has rejected the conclusions of the European Union Council for the first time, opposing the financing of Ukraine's military spending, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico told reporters, APA reports.
"Slovakia has for the first time refused to support the decision of the European Union Council on Ukraine, as it has a disagreement on the financing of military spending. Ukraine does not need weapons," the Prime Minister noted.
According to him, there are serious disagreements among EU member states regarding the potential transfer of Russian assets frozen within the EU to Ukraine. The prime minister emphasized that “this poses major risks.”
