The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is conducting searches in the central office of the State Tax Service and in several of the agency’s regional departments, “Economic Truth” reported, citing sources within the Tax Service, APA reports.
According to the report, searches are being carried out in the Tax Departments of the Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Lviv regions.
The reason for the searches has not yet been disclosed.
However, it is assumed that the searches may be related to a large-scale corruption case in the energy sector.
