Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that he will pay a visit to Türkiye, said President Erdoğan in an interview with journalists, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
He said that one of the issues discussed during the meeting held in Ashgabat was holding the next meeting in Türkiye.
Erdoğan noted that they had a highly productive, comprehensive, and in-depth meeting with Putin:
“During the meeting, I specifically expressed that I am always waiting for him. Therefore, we discussed the importance of coming together again as soon as possible. He, in turn, said, ‘I will keep my word.’”
The Turkish President expressed hope that the visit would take place in the near future:
“Our relations with Russia are not built on short-term interest calculations; they are based on deep historical roots, a strong diplomatic foundation, and mutual trust,” Erdoğan added.
