Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia is attempting in Moldova what Iran once carried out in Lebanon, APA reports.
He made the remarks during his address at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
“We have already lost Georgia in Europe. Georgia has become dependent on Russia,” Zelenskyy stressed.
According to the Ukrainian leader, the world’s response to Russia’s interventions remains insufficient. However, he underlined that Moldova is actively resisting Russian interference: “Europe cannot afford to lose Moldova as well. The European Union must provide financial and energy support to Moldova.”
Zelenskyy also drew attention to North Korea’s recent test of a tactical strike drone: “This demonstrates that even countries with limited capabilities can produce highly dangerous weapons.”
