Russia carried out one of its largest attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities overnight, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote in a post on X, APA reports.
According to him, more than 15 critical power generation and transmission facilities were targeted across different regions of Ukraine, and restoration work is currently underway at these facilities.
"The most difficult situation was in Lutsk, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Shepetivka, Slavuta, and Netishyn. Energy facilities in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, and other regions were also hit," Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian president expressed regret over Trump's decision to suspend the implementation of new sanctions against Russia and ease pressure on Moscow at a time when Ukraine's energy facilities were being attacked.
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump signed a decision exempting Moscow from the Lindsey Graham Act, which envisages tougher sanctions against Russia and Iran, just days before it was due to enter into force.
