The first Polish reconnaissance satellites were launched into low-Earth orbit from the U.S. Air Force Base at Vandenberg in California, APA reports citing PAP news agency.
According to the agency, SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket launched at 10:44 AM local time (9:44 PM Moscow time). Among the more than 100 nanosatellites on board were five Polish reconnaissance satellites: one MicroSAR, three PIAST, and one SatRev.
It is noted that the launch was repeatedly postponed for various reasons. Until now, Poland had not had a single military satellite.
