"If we believed the Europeans, Georgia would have become a ruined country like Ukraine today," said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili while commenting on French President Emmanuel Macron's statement that Europe should engage in dialogue with Russia, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, the Europeans, who supposedly isolated Russia, are now talking about resuming dialogue with it.
"For four years, we have been hearing that they have isolated Russia and are not trading. Later, it turned out that they maintain trade relations with Russia. Lithuania and Estonia have become rich from selling alcoholic beverages to Russia. These countries export more alcoholic beverages to Russia than Georgia," Papuashvili added.
The speaker also noted that all wars eventually end in peace:
"But the question is, who will suffer from the war. It is not yet possible to say who will be the winner in this war. However, now we can say with certainty that there are two losers in this war: Ukraine and the European Union."
