The number of people detained in protests across France has reached 675, French Ministry of the Interior has released, APA reports, citing newspaper "Le Figaro".

The number of police officers injured during the suppression of the protests has increased to 34.

280 protesters were detained in Paris alone.

It should be noted that although the number of people participating in the anti-government protests in France was presented as 200,000 by the country's Ministry of the Interior, the country's press reports that this figure is 250,000.

Despite the intervention of more than 80,000 police officers in the protests, protesters cut power cables in the southwestern part of the country.

As a result, rail traffic has stopped.

Protesters have blocked major roads in several cities, and workers' strikes are observed in some places.

The protests, held under the slogan "Let's block everything," are being held due to political instability and budget shortfalls in France.

After Prime Minister François Bayrou lost a confidence vote, the appointment of Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu to replace him has angered the population.

It should be noted that Lecornu is the fifth Prime Minister appointed in France in less than two years.
