The founding congress of the "United Neutral Georgia" party was held in Tbilisi, APA's local bureau reports.
The party's charter was approved at the meeting, and Vato Shakarishvili was elected executive secretary.
The main goal of the political union will be the protection of national and traditional values in society.
Shakarishvili said in his speech that neutrality will bring Georgia closer to the restoration of its territorial integrity.
He believes that neutrality will strengthen Georgia's role in the Middle Corridor and other large trade and logistics projects and will ensure a long-term stable political environment in the country.
The party will participate in the parliamentary elections in Georgia in 2028.
Note that the "United Neutral Georgia" party has been a social movement until now. The organization was founded in July last year and is known for its pro-government and anti-Western stance.
