Australia and New Zealand have joined NATO's Purchasing Resources for Ukraine (PURL) program, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced at a press conference following the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, APA reports.
"Australia and New Zealand are the first non-NATO countries to join the PURL programme," Rutte said.
He emphasized that two-thirds of NATO countries have now announced their participation in the PURL program, which, from August through the end of this year, will provide more than $4 billion in US arms purchases for Ukraine.
