The former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OP), Andriy Yermak, met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy one day after his resignation, APA reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.

According to the publication’s sources, the resignation was a serious blow for Yermak. They say that a difficult conversation took place between him and Zelenskyy.

“Immediately after the decision was made, Yermak wrote his resignation letter and quickly gathered his belongings. The next day, he came to Bankova again — to talk. After all, he and Zelenskyy have a long history together,” the report emphasizes.

According to RBC-Ukraine, the most discussed candidates to replace Andriy Yermak at the moment include Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Pavlo Palisa.

Note that after the searches carried out at his home, Zelensky announced that Yermak had submitted his resignation letter. Shortly afterward, it became known that the head of state had signed an Order dismissing the head of the Presidential Administration from his position.

The New York Post reported that Yermak had decided to go to the front.

On the same day, the former head of the Presidential Administration gave an interview to Financial Times, saying that he held no resentment toward Zelenskyy. He emphasized that his friendship with the president would continue in the future.
