Russia was flying drones towards the NATO base in Rzeszów, APA reports, citing "Spiegel" and "Welt" publications.
According to the publications, the base houses a logistics center where Western weapons are delivered to the Ukrainian army.
"Based on the information we have, we believe that these drones most likely entered NATO airspace intentionally," a senior Alliance officer told the publication.
Journalists investigating the drone attack on Poland on the night of September 10 noted that the NATO base was targeted by at least 5 drones. An F-35 fighter was scrambled to intercept them, and later 3 drones were shot down, while the other 2 fell to the ground on their own.
