Magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck near border of Armenia and Georgia

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake was registered 8 km southeast of the village of Bavra near the Armenian-Georgian border, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service reported, APA reports.

"On November 2 at 7:49 PM local time, the seismological network of the territorial seismic protection service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 in the border zone between Armenia and Georgia, 8 km southeast of the [Georgian] village of Bavra. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 km," the statement said. The magnitude at the epicenter was 5-6 points.

The department added that the tremors were felt in the Shirak and Lori regions of Armenia.
