"According to our information, U.S. Vice President David Vance’s visit is related to the Zangezur Corridor, and therefore it is natural for the American politician to visit Azerbaijan and Armenia," said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, while commenting on the fact that the regional trip program of the U.S. official does not include Georgia, APA’s local bureau reports.
He noted that the decision for David Vance not to visit Georgia is a decision made by the United States itself.
“It is known what state Georgia-U.S. relations are in. The situation created by the Biden administration is very complicated. We have declared our readiness to restore the strategic partnership from a clean slate, and we are calmly awaiting the decision of the U.S. administration,” Kobakhidze added.
Note that David Vance’s visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia is planned for February.
